About Me
I was born and raised in Sydney, and grew up as a competitive athlete in swimming. I have a passion for sport and the process to enhance skills, technique and performance. My personal experience gives me unique insight into the sporting experience and taught me a wide range of skills and disciplines.
My personal journey and professional practice have led to a strong commitment to focus on the whole life experience of the child or young person.

I have an undergraduate degree in Psychological Science and a Masters Degree in Counselling. I am a registered member of the Australian Counsellors Association (ACA).

I have been working with children for the last 8 years and have a passion for mental health with children and young people up to the age of 18. I am passionate about supporting sport performance in young athletes, however, my practice supports the needs of all children and young people.
I practice Acceptance Commitment Therapy, however I am able to work with a range of modalities to suit the needs of the client. I work in a warm and empathetic manner prioritising the needs of the client. My aim is to connect clients with their values and strengths whilst increasing their self awareness, emotional regulation and supporting them as they work through their challenges.
My Approach
My approach is person centered and trauma informed. Each child and young person deserves dignity and respect, encouragement for decision making, an empathetic ear and a non judgemental space to communicate.
This means that the child or young person will lead and I provide a therapetuic response in a safe and non judgemental space.
I focus on enhancing self-awareness and self-acceptance which supports increased knowledge, skills and confidence to make informed decisions, manage and work through thoughts, feelings and behaviours. This encompasses a range of factors such as, environmental factors, social and cultural contexts , gender, religion, attitudes and beliefs.

I empower children and young people to gain insight into themselves and their strengths to help them achieve their goals.
